About
The hardest story you can ever tell is a true one.
When I embarked on this journey in life, I felt hopeless, being raised in a single parent household and living in poverty. We barely had adequate heat, so in the winter we slept in our clothes under layers of blankets. My mom would give us a jar to put beside our bed so we could go to the bathroom at night because of the extreme cold, and we’d empty it in the morning.
The only source of income we had coming in was from government assistance. My mom could not work because she had two kids with sickle cell that needed constant medical attention. Despair always leads to bad choices - I used drugs, sold drugs, and stole trying to find a life. The one thing I did in spite of everything I was going through was get an education. So when I wrote this book, it inspired me to make this into a movement. If I only help one person find their way out of their situation, I am victorious.
On This Day, I will not fail.
